The September Issue

As some of you know Avenue recently hired a new Art Director, the lovely and talented Susan Meingast. Susan, who relocated from Toronto, brings with her tons of experience, a discerning eye and a penchant for not just doing it, but knocking it out of the park! It was with that in mind when she called me and asked if I would collaborate with her on the September issue, which also happens to be the fifth anniversary for the magazine here in Edmonton. With the expectation set beyond high, I went to work pulling clothes from retailers all across Edmonton, from small boutiques like Pear Tree and Thread Hill to Holt Renfrew, Oak+Fort and Sonia's Runway.

It is no secret that I am a fan of local designer Malorie Urbanovitch, not because of all of the hype she is currently receiving - but because I knew her long before the hype began.
