My Favourite Things: Summer 2011

The last 4 weeks have flown by in a whirlwind of photo shoots, models, filming and all sorts of exciting things! I would be remiss to not mention, if not briefly, that I appreciate those of you have been checking back regularly and I apologize for not updating more frequently! With that said, there are SO many exciting things on the go, the next few months are going to be nothing if not fabulous.

To get us back on track I am going to start with a collection of my favourite things from the summer season thus far:

TOMS

In 2006, American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by TOMS customers. (from the TOMS website - check them out, they're really great!) Available at Gravity Pope shoes in Edmonton.

OAK+FORT

This fabulous new boutique on Whyte Ave (10416 82 Avenue) carries a delightful assortment of both mens and womens garments. The goal of the boutique is to provide exceptional style and value to its customers. So while it may look like an expensive boutique from the outside, the price points inside will have you purchasing more than a few new pieces!

COUP GARMENT BOUTIQUE

Let's be honest, Coup is far from just a summer favourite of mine. These girls really know what they're doing when it comes to buying. Always on the cutting edge, they even had the must have blazer of the season that Kate Middleton was spotted wearing during her recent trip to Canada with Prince William.

Certainly the list could go on, but if you haven't checked out these stores or picked up a pair of TOMS yet, please do! You'll be happy you did!

be current.
